Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments (including four-handed dentistry)
- Take dental X-rays and impressions accurately
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Provide post-op instructions and patient education
- Order dental supplies and manage inventory
- Coordinate with front desk for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital imaging (X-ray/panoramic)
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar practice management software
