Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during exams, cleanings, and complex restorative procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft dental software
- Sterilize equipment and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control protocols
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide oxide monitoring
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate scheduling and inventory management
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DAEFCC or DANB)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Radiology certification (NCDA or equivalent)
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft/Dentrix software
- CPR/BLS certification from AHA
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional patient communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environment
