Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including four-handed dentistry and instrument transfer
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper ALARA protocols
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA guidelines
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix/Eaglesoft
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring (certification required)
- Perform coronal polishing and fluoride applications as permitted
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies
- Ensure operatory cleanliness and biohazard compliance
Qualifications
- Active DANB or state Dental Assistant certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Arizona radiography permit or willingness to obtain immediately
- Proficiency in dental practice management software
- Exceptional patient communication and chairside manner
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends as needed
