Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during dental procedures including fillings, crowns, and extractions
- Take and develop diagnostic dental X-rays with precision and care
- Manage patient education on oral hygiene and treatment procedures
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal equipment functionality
- Assist with digital charting and practice management software
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure seamless clinical operations
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DAEF required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography techniques (digital and analog)
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited provider
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build patient rapport
- Experience with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
