Responsibilities
- Prepare Patients: Greet patients, verify demographic information, and prepare them for examination.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist Providers: Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies; assist physicians during patient visits.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage patient charts, update electronic health records (EHR), and handle basic front-desk duties as needed.
- Injections & Procedures: Administer medications, injections, and perform basic procedures as directed by the provider.
- Patient Education: Provide basic health education and instructions to patients regarding medications and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred but not mandatory for this entry-level role.
- Experience: No prior medical experience required; we train the right candidates.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required; CMA or RMA certification is a plus.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health record systems.
- Personal Attributes: Strong communication skills, empathy, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including some weekends or evenings.
