Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate.
- Assistance: Provide mobility assistance, transfer patients to and from beds or wheelchairs using proper techniques.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs in accordance with facility policies.
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Ensure patients are well-hydrated and properly nourished by assisting with meals and providing water as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active State of Ohio CNA license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- CPR Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Strong empathy and ability to work well in a high-paced healthcare environment.
