Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the Charge Nurse immediately.
- Assist with mobility, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Change bed linens and maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure holistic care.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Ohio.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds safely.
