Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and perform basic lab tests
- Administer injections, medications, and immunizations under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and inventory of medical supplies
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications professionally
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and clinic safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- New Mexico Medical Assistant license or eligibility
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks)
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced medical environments
