Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately document patient histories, vital signs, and treatment information in EHR systems
- Administer injections, medications, and perform basic lab tests per protocol
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clean, organized exam rooms
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications with professionalism
- Coordinate with billing specialists for insurance verification and coding
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or EMR experience preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
