Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital sign measurements, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate electronic health documentation
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with care team
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
