- Clinical Support: Assist providers with examinations, administer injections and medications as directed, and perform basic laboratory tests such as EKGs and urinalysis.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and handle billing and coding inquiries accurately.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock exam rooms with necessary supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team, answering questions and explaining procedures clearly.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus but not mandatory for this entry-level role.
- Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient confidentiality.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical examinations as needed.
