Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify personal and insurance information, and prepare them for examination by the provider.
- Clinical Assistance: Perform vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration), EKGs, and assist with minor medical procedures.
- Medication & Vaccines: Prepare and administer medications, injections, and vaccines under strict physician supervision.
- Lab Services: Collect and process laboratory specimens, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality control standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and ensure proper documentation of patient visits.
- Front Desk Support: Handle phone inquiries, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/check-out processes efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Licensure: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong patient-centric attitude.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
