Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by reviewing medical history and recording vital signs.
- Assist providers during exams and minor procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including blood draws and urinalysis.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage patient intake, scheduling, and insurance verification.
- Document patient encounters accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Provide patient education and support regarding treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
