The Role:
The Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient outcomes. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and empathy.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals checks, and medical history reviews accurately.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and phlebotomy as required.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to maintain strict hygiene standards.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR) efficiently, and handle insurance verification.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and communicate effectively with patients via phone and in-person.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Arizona State Medical Assistant License.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting (1+ years preferred but will consider new grads).
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
