Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify their demographic information accurately upon arrival.
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) as ordered by the physician.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and draw blood samples (phlebotomy) when qualified.
- Manage medical records and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and HIPAA-compliant.
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage incoming calls with a professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; CMA or RMA certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is a plus, but entry-level candidates are welcome.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
