Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, medical history, and updating electronic health records.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during clinical procedures and examinations.
- Perform routine lab tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment in accordance with health and safety protocols.
- Manage front desk reception duties, including scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a busy clinic.
