Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs and patient intake screenings.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams, administer injections as directed, and perform basic lab tests (e.g., EKGs, phlebotomy).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Health Records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries.
- Ensure the examination rooms are clean, stocked, and sanitized.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong computer literacy, specifically with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
