Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies.
- Assist physicians and nurses during patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform vital signs measurements (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) and record patient history accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and explain treatment procedures in a clear and professional manner.
- Assist with administrative duties, including scheduling appointments, updating electronic health records (EHR), and processing insurance referrals.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
- Maintain strict infection control standards and sterilization protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) or equivalent required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a physician's office or outpatient clinic.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort and privacy.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is highly preferred.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
