Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and check-in procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Record vital signs, medical histories, and prepare patients for examination.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during exams and procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed personnel.
- Prepare lab specimens and perform basic point-of-care testing.
- Maintain and organize patient medical records and electronic health records (EHR).
- Coordinate patient scheduling and handle insurance verification.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
