Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, verify insurance information, and prepare them for examinations under the supervision of the physician.
- Clinical Duties: Accurately measure and record vital signs, administer injections and medications as directed, and perform basic laboratory tests.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, ensuring full compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
- Front Office: Manage appointment scheduling, patient check-in/check-out processes, and handle incoming calls with professionalism.
- Procedure Support: Assist in minor surgical procedures and provide patient education regarding post-care instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Licensure: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or outpatient setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
