Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough physical assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments accurately, adhering to strict safety protocols and physician orders.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vitals and report any significant changes or deterioration in condition immediately.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members to ensure holistic patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient logs in compliance with hospital policies.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (and North Carolina if applicable to role).
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and patient-centered care to diverse populations.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
