Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs assessments and prepare patients for examinations
- Administer injections and medications under physician supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Assist with minor procedures and wound care management
- Coordinate patient flow between exam rooms and treatment areas
- Order, stock, and manage medical supplies inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth preferred)
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Valid Pennsylvania state license or willingness to obtain immediately
- Spanish fluency strongly preferred for Texas positions
