Responsibilities
- Administer injections, medications, and wound care under physician supervision
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with diagnostic procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation
- Perform vital sign assessments and basic laboratory tests
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- New York State medical assistant license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
