Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and record accurate measurements.
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical history and explaining procedures.
- Assist physicians and nurses during exams and clinical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as authorized by the provider.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and urinalysis.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and handle incoming calls professionally.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs when necessary.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.
- Valid Georgia nursing license (required for Nurse applicants).
