Responsibilities

  • Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and record accurate measurements.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical history and explaining procedures.
  • Assist physicians and nurses during exams and clinical procedures.
  • Administer medications and injections as authorized by the provider.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and urinalysis.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and handle incoming calls professionally.

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
