Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with examination rooms and ensuring patient comfort.
- Record patient medical history, vital signs, and information into electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications as directed, and prepare blood samples for analysis.
- Manage patient scheduling, confirm appointments, and provide excellent customer service via phone and in-person.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring strict adherence to hygiene and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- California RN or LPN license if applicable.
