Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking
- Maintain precise patient records and medication profiles
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and pharmacy board regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Assist in training new pharmacy technicians
Qualifications
- Active Minnesota Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic knowledge of pharmacology and medical terminology
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional holidays
