Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and cycle counts
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1) for dispensing and record-keeping
- Prepare sterile compounds and IV admixtures when certified
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license
- Prior retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic proficiency with pharmacy management systems
- Successful background check and drug screen
