Responsibilities
- Dispense and compound medications accurately under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription processing from intake to final verification
- Maintain inventory control and automated dispensing systems
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with DEA, state pharmacy board, and hospital policies
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1) for documentation
- Assist with sterile compounding and IV admixtures
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active MA Pharmacy Technician license required
- Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) strongly preferred
- Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing technology
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
