Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription processing workflow including intake, verification, and final checks
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain precise inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Ensure compliance with all state/federal pharmacy regulations and HIPAA protocols
- Operate pharmacy software systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) and automated dispensing equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve prescription inquiries
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certification required)
- Minimum 1 year of retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong mathematical aptitude
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and basic computer applications
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
