Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory and coordinate medication ordering/replenishment
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Counsel patients on medication usage and side effects
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for optimal patient outcomes
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing and compounding
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Flexible schedule availability (weekends/shifts required)
