Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and pharmaceutical supply chain operations
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and pharmacy regulatory standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care
- Assist with compounding and sterile preparations as needed
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing and drug interactions
- Excellent attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Proficient in pharmacy software systems (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
