Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications following state and federal regulations
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and assist patients with medication counseling
- Maintain electronic health records and pharmacy database systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management and patient consultations
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy safety protocols
- Train new pharmacy technicians on standard procedures
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1-2 years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficient in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and drug interactions
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
