Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure strict adherence to FDA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required
- Minimum 1 year of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell, Rx30)
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
