Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications following prescription protocols
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and patient billing transactions
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic health records
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical interventions
- Ensure sterile compounding procedures meet USP standards
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license
- 1+ years retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- CPhT certification preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and DEA guidelines
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
