Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately according to doctor's orders and safety protocols.
- Verify prescription details, check for drug interactions, and perform quality control checks with pharmacists.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering supplies, restocking shelves, and tracking expiration dates.
- Assist customers with insurance inquiries, copay processing, and general pharmacy questions.
- Process returns, refunds, and prescription transfers efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing software and point-of-sale systems.
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Pharmacy Technician license or certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new pharmacy software quickly.
