Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient demographics
- Process and label specimens with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control protocols
- Update electronic health records (EHR) with sample data and patient information
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume settings
- Proficiency with EHR systems and specimen processing
- Strong attention to detail and error-prevention mindset
- Valid Texas driver's license for mobile collections (if applicable)
