Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection following strict protocols
- Process and label blood samples accurately while maintaining chain of custody
- Verify patient identity and ensure HIPAA compliance at all stages
- Operate centrifuges and laboratory equipment with precision
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards
- Document procedures in EHR systems with meticulous attention to detail
- Provide patient education and emotional support during blood collection
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, AMT, or NHA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for diverse patient populations
- Knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume settings
- Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation
