Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures for blood collection
- Ensure proper specimen labeling and handling protocols
- Maintain sterile work environments and equipment calibration
- Provide exceptional patient care during collection procedures
- Document all procedures accurately in EMR systems
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
- Collaborate with laboratory and clinical teams
Qualifications
- Current NHA/ASCP Phlebotomy certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification from accredited provider
- Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary techniques
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Exceptional patient communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume settings
