Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection
- Process and label specimens according to protocol
- Ensure proper handling and transport of laboratory samples
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Verify patient identity and document procedures
- Operate centrifuges and lab equipment safely
- Provide patient education during blood collection
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Valid CPR certification
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
