Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop comprehensive care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and nurse practitioners.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, reporting any significant changes to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance as needed.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Educate patients and families regarding medical conditions, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in compliance with healthcare safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
