Responsibilities
- Assess & Plan: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans based on physician orders and patient needs.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments while strictly adhering to safety protocols and documentation standards.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and clinical status to detect changes and intervene promptly.
- Collaborative Care: Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, physicians, and patients to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly and efficiently to medical emergencies and critical situations during the night shift.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Patient Advocacy: Provide compassionate care and advocate for the needs and comfort of patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (or compact state).
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred; new graduates with a strong clinical rotation may be considered.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 7 PM - 7 AM or 11 PM - 7 AM).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient engagement.
- Professionalism: Strong ability to work independently and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
