Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions, administer prescribed medications, and monitor vital signs throughout the night shift.
- Implement and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with established medical protocols and nursing standards.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and critical alerts to ensure patient safety.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere strictly to infection control policies.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience (Critical Care or Med Surg preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
