Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage and determine appropriate medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient cases and allocate resources efficiently
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and family members
- Monitor patient flow and coordinate with emergency department staff
- Implement infection control protocols and safety procedures
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong written/verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in high-stress environments
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
