Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care based on medical urgency
- Provide expert triage advice via phone, telehealth, and in-person consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients on treatment protocols and preventive care
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and critical incidents
- Support department workflow optimization and quality initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress scenarios
