Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Triage incoming emergency cases based on acuity and medical necessity
- Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for efficient patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions
- Manage emergency department resources during high-volume periods
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years Emergency Department or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong triage assessment skills and clinical judgment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
