Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person triage using standardized protocols
- Prioritize cases based on acuity and allocate appropriate medical resources
- Collaborate with physicians to determine patient disposition and treatment plans
- Document patient interactions accurately in EMR systems
- Educate patients on home care instructions and when to seek further medical attention
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong triage assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication abilities in English and Spanish
- EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
