Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Prioritize patients based on acuity level and medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians and emergency department teams
- Document clinical observations accurately in EMR systems
- Provide clear patient education and discharge instructions
- Monitor and track patient flow through the care continuum
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong proficiency in Epic or similar EMR systems
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
