Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient intake/output, and behavioral changes
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper techniques
- Administer medications under RN supervision and maintain accurate medication records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-free patient environment
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care or long-term experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and compassion for elderly/ill populations
- Flexibility to work weekends (Sat/Sun) with occasional holiday coverage
- Proficient in electronic health record documentation
- Clear background check and drug screening required
