Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in accordance with facility standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Document patient care activities and observations in the electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA certification issued by the State of Indiana.
- CPR/BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) is required for all positions.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred but not required for the right candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for weekend shift coverage.
