Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the charge nurse.
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with facility standards.
- Document all patient care activities and observations accurately in electronic health records.
- Engage residents in social activities and therapeutic exercises to promote mental well-being.
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests to ensure safety and comfort.
Qualifications
- Valid and current CNA Certification (California State License).
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or acute care settings is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required by the schedule.
